The smooth finish of the board shows off the beautiful grain in the beech. The board is cut from individual pieces of sustainably sourced local beech, old trees commonly show rich warm orange, pink & red heart colours often referred to as flame, which is a type of ripple figuring.
The flamed beech keyhole board is finished with a food safe oil for added strength and protection.
