Designed and handcrafted in Norfolk, UK, the large keyhole board is adept at making for an attractive display as it is being your perfect serving and chopping companion. The smooth finish of the board shows off the beautiful patternation in the grain of the elm.
Spalting describes the process by which certain fungi grow on dead or fallen trees leaving distinguished patterns across the surface of the wood. The process slowly evolves over several years to reach the ideal stage to cut and season the timber.
The board is cut from an individual piece of sustainably sourced local elm and is finished with a food safe oil for added strength and protection. Oak repair details were used to cover a surface tear, stabilising and strengthening the wood from further cracking or warping.
Our boards are designed for longevity and easy to look after. To keep your board looking vibrant we advise reading our product care section
